Craigslist
Craigslist alerts for new listings.
Set a search once. When a matching listing is posted on Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace or OfferUp, your phone buzzes.
How Craigslist's own alerts work
Craigslist's saved-search alerts come by email. From its help page: "Search alerts are emails that are automatically sent when a saved search has new results." How often they come depends on the number of results in the last alert, and "a maximum of 20 results will be displayed in the email." You turn one on from the searches tab of your Craigslist account.

What Deal Scanner does differently
- It sends a push to your phone instead of an email. The buzz comes when a matching listing is posted.
- One search covers Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace and OfferUp. You don't set it up three times.
- A Deal Score on every find. Each price is checked against what that item normally sells for near you, so you know it's a deal before you drive.
- A price range and a radius. You only hear about listings you'd actually go get.
- Quiet hours and a daily digest. You choose when your phone buzzes.
Set it up in 3 steps
- Tell it what you're hunting. The item, your city, how far you'd drive, and your price range.
- It watches all three. Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace and OfferUp, around the clock.
- Your phone buzzes. Tap it and you're on the listing while it's minutes old.
Do I need a Craigslist account?
No. Deal Scanner never asks for your Craigslist, Facebook or OfferUp login, and never touches your accounts. The watching happens on our end. You only deal with Craigslist when you tap through to a listing yourself.
